Guiding principles
The two guiding principles of LottoStocks are:
1) Offer a positive alternative to lottery gambling
Lotteries are gambling. It should be public policy that a positive alternative be made available at point-of-sale (POS) lottery terminals in order to negate lottery gambling’s negative psychological, sociological and economical costs. Like lottery ticket purchases, LottoStocks is also designed to be an impulse purchase. Unlike lotteries, LottoStocks is a positive, life-supporting choice.
2) Democratize the stock market
LottoStocks promotes the Ownership Society. Public policy should promote the expansion of and encourage equity investment ownership by everyone and, in particular, minority, lower income and other demographic groups historically under-represented in this area of ownership.---
